To the east is the Peñon de l'Ifach, an enormous limestone rock inhabited by numerous birds. Below are the ruins of Pobla de Ifac, a fortified medieval village. The Muralla Roja is an iconic castle-like building by the modern Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill.

Calpe is a very pretty town with nice bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a cocktail with family or friends and end the evening with a good meal of local cuisine. Not forgetting the long white sandy beaches with crystal clear turquoise waters, where it is pleasant to live with temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees in winter and 300 days of sunshine a year.
